We use your information to:
  • Provide and improve our AI-powered checkride simulation service

Voice and AI Processing

When you first start a voice session in the iOS app, we ask for permission to use your microphone and process your voice data. The app remembers your choice. You can decline, in which case a voice session will not start, or withdraw permission later in the app’s Privacy settings and the iOS microphone settings. To provide a live mock oral exam, microphone audio, spoken answers, and session setup are sent to check-ride.ai. Depending on the voice system currently in use, this data may be processed by AI service providers, including Google, to transcribe speech, generate examiner responses, and produce spoken audio. We may also process this data using our own systems. We do not send your account password or payment-card information to AI providers. Our service providers may change as we improve or bring more processing onto our own infrastructure. Any provider acting for us is permitted to process the data only to provide the contracted service and must maintain privacy and security protections at least as protective as those described in this policy and required by applicable law.

AI Model Improvement

We may use your session data to improve our AI models, but only after:
  • Removing all personally identifiable information
  • Anonymizing voice patterns and speech characteristics

  • Active Accounts: Training data retained while your account is active
  • Inactive Accounts: Data automatically deleted after 2 years of inactivity
